PRE APPOINTMENT ADVICE

7 Days Before Your Appointment

  • Avoid blood thinning supplements such as vitamin E, fish oil, omega-3, turmeric, garlic supplements, ginkgo biloba

These can increase the risk of bruising and swelling

  • Limit alcohol intake - Alcohol can thin the blood and also increase bruising risk.

  • Avoid dental treatments, vaccinations, or major procedure - These can affect your immune system and increase the risk of adverse reactions. We recommend at least 2 weeks between dental/vaccine appointments and injectables.

48 Hours Before Your Appointment

  • Avoid active skincare products in the treatment area - Helps prevent skin irritation or sensitivity during your treatment (Retinol, AHAs/BHAs, exfoliants, peels, or acne treatments)

  • Minimise sun exposure and avoid sun beds - Sunburnt or sensitive skin cannot be treated.

On the Day of Your Appointment

  • Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin where possible - This reduces the risk of infection. If you arrive with makeup, don't worry as our practitioner will need to sterilise the treatment area beforehand anyway.

  • Eat a light meal or something substantial beforehand - Helps prevent light-headedness during treatment and will keep your blood sugar up to avoid feeling dizzy after treatment. We have refreshments on hand in the clinic just in case your blood sugar drops at all after treatment.

  • Wear comfortable clothing - Particularly if you're receiving treatment on the face, neck, or scalp (e.g., exosomes or excessive sweating treatment).

  • Avoid strenuous exercise beforehand - This is due to increased blood flow can heighten sensitivity and bruising.

  • Avoid caffeinated drinks - Caffeine thins the blood leading to a higher risk of bruising and swelling at injection sites

Stay well-hydrated - Good hydration supports skin healing and can improve treatment results.
